• Proven success in leading a US or foreign-based MNC in Japan within a growing and changing sales environment (technology Principal, communications, networking or similar space preferred), with a combined revenue size of at least USD60-100 M • Leadership skills and proven experience in managing a of at least 30 people across multi functions, including sales and engineering in Japan• Leadership skills and proven experience in managing a of at least 30 people across multi functions, including sales and engineering in Japan• Proven success in leading and fronting large accounts; experience and a successful track-record engaging with large Japanese conglomerates is an essential requirement; high level exposure to either Government, SP and/or Enterprise verticals is necessary• Abilities to engage at a strategic level, to discuss value proposition and ROI with senior (C level) executives• Capable of being spokesperson in marketing events, which may involve contact with the press and industry analysts, as well as prospective customers• Proven track-record of successfully executing in a matrix environment, to ensure local needs are met as well as corporate strategic direction• Knowledge and experience in managing sales/licensing agreements in excess of USD500K; knowledge and appreciation of local Quality requirements would be advantageous• Specialist knowledge of multi-faceted networking environments, preferably in the UCC space.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and build Japan’s business to ensure (1) increased sales revenue, to exceed USD60M 2) achievement of associated bookings and margin targets and (3) predictable and reliable forecasts
• Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to achieve Quality Standards required in Japan; manage expectations and provide input/guidance to improve Quality
• Continue to collaboratively build and evolve a sustainable business to manage solid Year on Year growth of between 10-15% above USD60M, which will include enlarging the company’s footprint in Japan, through active engagement with Partners and Customers
• Drive Japan to attain market leadership in the Unified Communications space, by enabling key business partners (including large conglomerates) to be cognizant of Japan, by being accessible, responsive and reliable.
• Manage and lead a team of sales people, leading them to excellent performance, ensuring that the Team is motivated and challenged – e.g. no sales person falls below 80% attainment
• Drive vision and strategy for Japan, which includes People Management, Budget Planning, Sales Enablement and Execution, and Partner Enablement and Success
• Drive home Japan’s philosophy of “always putting our Customers at the centre of everything we do”, to ensure their ultimate success.
